What fillers do you use at Bodilight?

All of the products used at Bodilight contain non-animal, stabilised hyaluronic acid. Because hylauronic acid occurs naturally in the body and is present in all living organisms it means that once in the skin, it works together with the body's own hyaluronic acid and joins forces to create volume. No pre-testing is required.

How do these treatments work?

A simple injection using a very fine needle is placed under the skin at dermis level, replenishing the skin’s natural volume, enhancing lips, smoothing out lines and wrinkles thus helping to erase the signs of ageing.

Is the treatment safe?

Bodilight only uses clinic tried, tested and trusted products ranges. Mainly used at Bodilight are well known brands “ Restylane” and “Juverderm”.

What areas can be treated?

The most commonly areas treated are:
from the nose to the angle of the mouth (the nasolabial folds)
lips (enhancement)
cheeks and chin (shaping)
back of the hands, décolletage, face (skin hydro-balance)
between the eyebrows (the glabella lines)

Is this treatment painful?

The injections may prick a little, but normally no anaesthetic is needed for wrinkles and folds. However, when treating the lips/vermillion border/smokers lines a dental block may be advised.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment takes approximately fifteen minutes, results are immediate.

Are there any possible side effects?

Occasionally some people may experience symptoms such as slight swelling, redness, itching or tenderness in the treated area but these reactions are quite normal and usually disappear within one to six days.

However, if the lips are being treated, initial swelling may last longer for up to a week and they may look slightly uneven. This means that the result directly after the treatment should not be looked upon as the final result. It is very important to massage the treated areas for up to seven days afterwards to ensure an even appearance.

How long do the results last?

Results of these treatments are immediate and the effects can last anything from three to twelve months, depending on which product is being used. The general length of time is specific to each individual.

All of the facial filler treatments offered at Bodilight are non-permanent and are absorbed naturally over time – We recommend that you maintain the results and have a follow up appointment before the effects have completely worn off.
